George Washington Smith was born in Indiana in 1876 at the birthday of George Washington. He was the son of a famous engineer, Pennsylvania, and studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He later made his way to Harvard University, where he studied architecture.

Smith moved to California and designed and built his home in Monte modeled after the country who admired Spanish property in Andalucia. The house he built, known as Casa Dracaena wasextraordinarily successful, and sculptures of the property was used as a contribution to sales of certain types of bricks and cement for the construction of other projects. His neighbors began with the desire to live in similar buildings, and Smith has a full-time architect to meet demand. He was one of the most famous architects in the United States.

Smith is listed as the father of the Spanish Colonial Revival style. His house Monte original, as well as "House of Greek, his secondhand car designed housingnext door, built in 1920, is still substantially present as family homes.

The Spanish style is always in high demand in the United States, as has been seen across the nation in various forms of Spanish style, like the style of the Spanish mission. A good example is the Spanish mission-style Deco style which was a merger that occurred in 1920. TP Barnett Spanish Deco building in St. Louis on the famous Washington Ave. is a good example.

P. Thomas Barnett 's father was one of the mostArchitects in St. Louis, and Thomas had to carry the flag of the family with pride. When George I. Barnett died in 1898, when his two sons, George D. and Thomas P. make a further contribution to the rich architectural history of St. Louis. The boys have finally come to create Barnett, Haynes and Barnett, with his cousin John Haynes. All had trained with the old Barnett, and all with the same spirit, talent and art inspired.

Together, GeorgeWashington and Thomas P. Smith, Barnett has left its mark on the Spanish mission revival architecture. These people are certainly not the practice of most types of cosmetic Spanish Renaissance, their buildings are head to toe in genuine and complex in their construction and buildings are still enjoyed today for their beauty and history.

Spanish revival architecture is hugely popular in California and increasingly across the nation.
