Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

I can not be a young adult, but "Vampire Academy" is a book that can definitely sink your teeth into. This is the first in a series by Richelle Mead. The author puts a new and unique spin on the vampire legends of the past. forbidden love, friendship, loyalty, love, intrigue, this has it all.

St. Vladimir's Academy in Montana, is not an ordinary school. This is a boarding school where they met the vampires vampire learn magic and adolescents, half human, halftrained to protect them. Moroi Vampire Princess Lissa a man and his best friend and bodyguard was Rose Hathaway, a dhampir, trained Strigoi immortal that is dangerous to fight unfair Moroi. Two years ago, Lissa and Rose run away, but they are found and returned in disgrace. Academy is a dangerous place for them. Gossip romance, peer pressure and forbidden is the least of their problems. Lissa has secret powers that grow and that itsdifferent ways. Now warnings are still anonymous to those who know his secret.

Rose and Lissa have a great relationship, and this is the focus of the story. The story begins when the girls were caught and sent to the academic world, and it took off from there. Good interesting secondary characters and subplots make the pages fly. There is a story of forbidden love between Rose and Dimitri, which adds another dimension to the story. Mead is down to his readers talking. Shedescribes the dark current and includes strong language and sexual content that some readers may find offensive. It may be a supernatural story, but on adolescent problems that are relevant for most adolescents. If you're a "Twilight" and "House of Night," probably like this series too. It 's a fascinating mystery with an unpredictable finish, and is definitely worth reading.
